100 If You Can Do 5 Reps

Five reps. That is all it takes to win. But only if you have the control to make every single one count.

What Is the Challenge?

The 100 Challenge is a five-repetition push-up competition that strips everything back to what matters: raw strength, precision, and presence. This is not a speed test. It is not an endurance event. It is five perfect push-ups, judged on form, control, and execution.

I designed this challenge because the push-up is the most honest exercise in fitness. There is nowhere to hide. No machine to assist you, no momentum to cheat with, no way to fake it. Five perfect reps reveal everything about your strength, stability, and body control. Most people think they can do push-ups. Very few can do five that would pass strict judging.

What Counts as a Perfect Rep

Let me be clear about what we are looking for, because this is where most people get eliminated:

  • Full range of motion. Chest must touch the ground (or come within a fist's width) at the bottom. Arms must fully extend at the top. Half reps do not count.
  • Rigid body line. Hips cannot sag or pike. From head to heel, your body should form a straight plank throughout the entire movement.
  • Controlled tempo. No bouncing off the floor, no diving down and springing up. Each rep should demonstrate deliberate, controlled movement in both directions.
  • No pausing. All five reps must be completed in a continuous set. You can control the tempo, but you cannot rest at the top or bottom between reps.

Location and Timing

The event takes place Saturday, October 11 at 9:00 AM at Rotunda do Castelo do Queijo in Matosinhos, Porto. The oceanfront setting is not an accident. There is something honest about testing yourself outdoors, with the Atlantic behind you and nothing between you and the ground except your own strength.

The competition runs from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, or until all three prizes are claimed -- whichever comes first. Once the prizes are gone, they are gone.

Prize Structure

Three winners per day. Each winner receives €100, transferred instantly via Revolut. There are no runner-up prizes, no participation awards, and no consolation. You either complete five perfect reps or you do not.

The limit of three winners creates urgency. Arrive early. The first people in line with perfect form walk away with the prize. Hesitate, and someone else claims it.

How to Enter

The challenge requires no registration, no sign-up fee, and no advance commitment. The rules are:

  • Complete all 5 reps in perfect form without stopping. Our judges evaluate every rep. One failed rep means the set does not count.
  • Follow @mindfulcrumb on Instagram. This is how we build community around events like this.
  • Repost the provided picture or video of your attempt. We capture every challenger and provide content for you to share.
  • Have a Revolut account ready for instant fund transfer. Winners are paid on the spot -- no waiting, no forms, no delays.

That is it. Show up, prove yourself, walk away with €100.

Why We Run Events Like This

Mindful Crumb is a protein company, but our mission is broader than selling whey. We believe in building a community around strength, discipline, and honest effort. Events like the 100 Challenge take fitness out of the gym and into the public. They create moments where everyday people can test themselves against a simple, objective standard and discover what they are capable of.

There is no entry barrier. No gym membership required. No specific body type or fitness level expected. If you can do five perfect push-ups, you can win. It is the most democratic fitness challenge imaginable.

How to Prepare

If you want to give yourself the best chance:

  • Practice strict form now. Film yourself doing push-ups and watch them back. Most people's form is worse than they think. Fix the sag, fix the half reps, fix the neck crane.
  • Train slow. Practice push-ups with a 3-second descent and a 2-second ascent. If you can do five controlled reps at that tempo, you will breeze through the challenge.
  • Do not overtrain the day before. Show up fresh. Five reps is not an endurance test. It is a strength and precision test. Arrive with full energy and focus.

See You There

Rotunda do Castelo do Queijo. Saturday, October 11. 9:00 AM. Five reps. €100.

No excuses. No sign-ups. Just show up and prove it.
